Disney Toys From The Movie Frozen

I have heard that according to Walmart the toys from the Disney movie Frozen are very popular this year for Christmas. One website said that the Frozen movie is the most popular movie of all the Disney movies. I my self have not seen it, but I did see some clips on youtube and it looks like a very good movie.
The Frozen Disney Toys range from a single doll to a set of the various characters. You can even buy an Elsa Musical Snow Wand or even a small castle. There are various types of costumes from the movie, gloves or other accessories that the characters may have worn. I even saw a lunch box for young children to take to school.
I would go online to Amazon and check out all the different toys as well as Video Games for the various game systems like the xbox 360, xbox one, nintendo 3ds or whatever game system you have.
Thank You for reading and enjoy the toys.

Kenwood Ham Radio Transceivers For Christmas

Thinking of a special Christmas Present this year. I would look into one of the Kenwood Ham Radio Transceivers. They do have a few different models to choose from. I believe considerations would be decided on whether you are just starting out in the Ham Radio Hobby or have been in the ham radio hobby for a few years. I myself have a Kenwood TS-2000 and I love it. Yes it does have quite a few different gadgets on it, but that's why I love it.
One of the Kenwood Ham Radio Transceivers that I have kept my eye on is the Kenwood TS-590S. It is High Frequency HF Transceiver that will transmit from 6 meters to 160 meters. This would give an excellent number of bands and frequencies to choose to transmit and receive on. There are plenty of menus and a nice big lcd display for easy viewing. What I like is that it has that big boxy look like a radio should. Well that is just my preference and I say if you like a different look that is okay too.
Kenwood TS-590S Transceiver

  • Superb RX Performance: Excellent Dynamic Range Even with Powerful Off-frequency Interference • Powerful 500Hz / 2.7kHz roofing filter
  • DDS offers superb C/N (Carrier to Noise ratio) characteristics, significantly cutting noise generated by adjacent unwanted signals
  • Wide Range of Features Thanks to 32-bit Floating-point DSP • Advanced AGC with digital signal processing from the IF stage onward
  • Stable operation guaranteed. Designed for high reliability. • 100W heavy-duty design
  • User-friendly menus, outstanding operating ease • Large display with 2-color LED backlight • USB connectivity for PC control
Now if you do like a Ham Radio Transceiver with a little different look, then I would look at the Kenwood TS-480HX. It also transmits from 6 meters to 160 meters, so you again have a very good choice of bands and frequencies to choose from. The nice added feature I like is it puts out 200 watts, so you have that little added punch when you need it. It also has a front panel control that can be removed to use in a mobile environment. I did look at the reviews on amazon and at my favorite website eham.net . I did find that the ratings are all up around 4.8 out of 5, which is very good. The reviews themselves were all very good. As with any electronic component check it out first before judging it. I have seen many electronic products that are new have problems. That can happen from manufacturing or just a bad component that failed.

    Kenwood TS-480HX Transceiver
      • 200W output (50MHz: 100W) DC 13.8V in the TS-480HX
      • TX/RX 16-bit AF digital signal processing
      • Continuous RX: 500kHz (VFO: 30kHz) to 60MHz
      • TX covers all Amateur bands 1.8MHz to 50MHz
      • Separate LCD control panel with speaker
Another Ham Radio Transceiver that I find very interesting is in what I would call the higher class of transceivers. It would be the Kenwood TS-990S. This again is another HF Radio that is capable of putting out 200 watts. It again is another Ham radio Transceiver that has excellent reviews on Eham.net . It is a full featured radio with plenty of menus and has an excellent display for easy monitoring. It does have a built in antenna tuner which is a nice feature for tuning a dipole antenna for example. It also has that big boxy look that I prefer. I am sure it would be an awesome for any Ham Radio Shack.

          Kenwood TS-990S Transceiver
          • 200 watts maximum power output!
          • Built-in automatic antenna tuner
          • Built-in AC power supply
          • Newly developed mixer contributes to achieving +40bBm IP3
          • Down-conversion format for all AMR bands on main RX

Well as my final radio I could not leave without saying something about the Kenwood TS-2000 Ham Radio Transceiver. Yes this is the Ham radio that I have in my Ham Shack. It has more features on it than I can go over. My advise is to check out videos on you for this Ham radio and any other Ham radio you may be interested in. It shows on Eham.net that it has a rating of 4.5 out 5, which is out of 487 reviews. That just proves that this is an extremely awesome Ham Radio Transceiver. It covers HF, 50mhz 6 meters, 144mhz 2 meters and 440mhz. This Ham radio has so many features my advise is to check it out at Kenwoods website for a full list.

My final bit of advise is that there are other awesome Ham Radio Transceivers out there made by Kenwood as well as Yaesu, Icom, Alinco and many others. I would check out all the information, ratings and reviews at http://www.eham.net/reviews/ . There are also plenty of videos on youtube where you can see and hear how the Ham Radio Transceiver functions as well as what other Hams are saying about a particular Ham radio Transceiver.

          Everybody Loves Good Antiques

I think everybody likes to own some kind of antique. You should always be looking for Your Favorite Antiques . Whether it is a family heirloom that has been handed down from generation to generation. We have a few antiques like that in our house. I have a gate leg oval table that was in my grandparents house. It was there ever since I was a little kid. I also have some antique tools that belonged to my stepfather. Some of my favorite antiques are my grandfathers pocket watch that he carried in world war one and world war two, as well as some war medals that he came across. One of them is from Australia and the others I am not sure where they came from. I plan on passing these things down to my children one of these days. One of my favorite antiques are the different Antique Clocks. They can be big or small I for some reason love the old antique clocks.
One of my favorite things to do is go to a museum and look at all the very old items and antiques. I enjoy just thinking about the person who had them and what they were doing with them. I love to go to the Genesee Valley Country Museum and look at all the old antique houses. Just looking at all the items that people had and used years ago. I simply find that very interesting, so I guess I must be sort of a history lover. Who knows maybe some of my personal things will be passed on through the generations and somebody will have a chance to enjoy them. They may wonder what great great great grandpa was doing with these things.
There are some antiques that do end up having a great value. Just watch the pawn shop on cable television and see what people bring in. I was amazed at how much certain antiques are worth. There are some pieces of Antique Furniture that can sell for almost $500,000 dollars or more. I would go around to garage sales and estate sales. You never know when a great buy will come along. There are sorts of antique items out there especially in the Art Field. You may come across a beautiful oil painting that happens to be worth over $800,000 dollars. I remember watching the pawn shop show one night and seeing the same kind of clock we have that belonged to my grandfather.
The nice thing with antique collecting is that it is an extremely wide field of articles. You may love Collecting Antique Jewelry . It is one of those hobbies where you could specialize in one type of antique or have several different types of antiques. Who knows you could become a collector and open your own antique store. We have one antique store like that in our neighborhood. It is basically a big barn where they made a store into it. They always have some unbelievable items. The odd thing is it is right next to a cemetery. I just wonder is some are from someone right next door, just kidding.
Well if you are thinking of becoming an antique dealer I would get looking as soon as possible.
Well that's all for now so Thank You for reading.

October 31st Is Only A Few Weeks Away So Get That Costume Now

          Happy Halloween!

Yes in a few weeks it will be Halloween on October 31st. Are you going out trick or treating to get some free candy. If you are I would start seriously thinking of a costume. Maybe you are a parent and are taking your young children out trick or treating. There are plenty of different costumes to choose from. Some can be very simple while others can be very complex. Sometimes you can buy some simple items and use what you have to come up with an awesome costume. Maybe you are going to a Halloween Party and need just the right costume.
So where do you get that costume just for you. Yes you can make your own costume and there is nothing wrong with that. So use that imagination and do not look like everyone else. But if you want to buy a costume you do have some choices. I recently went to the local Halloween Spirit Store and they had some good costumes, masks and other Halloween Accessories. If you want to shop from home and use your computer, then I would go with Amazon or Ebay. The nice thing is that you can see the reviews before you buy to see if anyone had a problem with something. For example I did read how one person got a hat and it was damaged. Yes that kind of thing can happen, but not very often.
So get out there and have yourself some good old fun. No you are not out there worshiping the devil by going trick or treating. When I was younger and went trick or treating worshiping the devil was the furthest thing from my mind. I was only going out to get some candy and have some fun. So get out there and go and have some fun with your friends and family. Here's an idea, go out trick or treating as some person from the bible. Here is a good link to some information about Halloween http://altreligion.about.com/od/holidaysfestivalsevents/f/halloween-satanism.htm .  Here is a link about Halloween from a religious standpoint http://www.americancatholic.org/features/default.aspx?id=23 .
So if someone says you are worshiping Satan by trick or treating give them the information. Maybe they will understand what Halloween is all about and have some fun for themselves.
Well that's all for now so HAPPY HALLOWEEN !!!!!!

Anyone Looking For An Awesome Table Top Radio

I think my family always had some kind of Table Top Radio in the kitchen. This way they could listen to some music while they were cooking. At one time they had a nice shortwave radio, but that wore out through the years. I had it but never did anything with it. There are quite a few different brands and designs out there. Some of those brands are Sangean, Sony, Radioshack, Crosley and many others. If you are looking for a good Shortwave Radio to use as your tabletop radio I would suggest a Grundig Satelit 750. I myself Have one of these in my Ham Shack and it performs very well.
Some of these radios have the older style tuner with the needle that moves back and forth. There are also the models that have the digital lcd display. There are some beautiful models with a wooden cabinet and others have the plastic simulated wood grain pattern. There are some models that have an alarm clock in them, so you could easily use one in the bedroom to wake you up for work. You also have the category of radios with that  old time retro look. I myself like the look of some of those tabletop radios. When I see them I get that picture of the family sitting around the radio listening to some old radio talk show. Your newer radios have features such as bluetooth or a place to put your mp3 player.
One of my favorite  Table Top Radios is a juke box looking radio. It is bright and very colorful. It is made by a company called crosley. It has a universal ipod dock and a cd player. Ratings on all the different tabletop radios seem to be very good. I tend to see ratings of 4.5 out of 5 gold stars. Even the reviews themselves all seem to be very positive. It does seem to me that the Sangean models are the most popular. I do own a shortwave radio by Sangean and it has always worked flawlessly. Some of these radios do have an external antenna connection. You could easily connect up a wire dipole antenna for increased connection.
So you may be asking yourself where is the best place to buy one of these Table Top Radios . Well for the biggest selection I would go with Amazon or Ebay. You will probably find some good deals. The places that I would look into are some of the Ham Radio Dealers on the Internet. My favorite places are Universal Radio, AES Electronics, DX Engineering, Ham Radio Outlet, MFJ and R&S Electronics. Like all radios they would make an excellent addition to any Ham Shack. I think they would also make an excellent Christmas Gift and Christmas is not that far away.
Well That's all for now so Thank You for reading.
